Due to time constraints my team did not get to present this week. So I do not have any mentor notes to post.
This week I mainly focused on little tweaks to the environment like finishing up re-beveling geo and vertex painting. As well as, doing further tweaks to the lighting. So I don't have as mush to show and report this week.
Although we did we get our mocap and green screen footage filmed which was a big step forward!
One thing I focused on this week was enhancing the all the lighting. Previously there was a lot of light bleed from the outside as well as interior lights being way too bright, so I spent a good amount of time tweaking that.

I am running into an issue where it looks like a lot of the bounce light vanishes. It is very noticeable in our vis for week 7 but on my home computer it looks different so I assume it might be related to opening the project on different machines, but I wonder if some of my settings are to blame.
here you can see when the camera moves out of the sky light it looks much darker. It might be caused by post process volume but I will have to investigate that.

Here is a screenshot of some of the mesh painting I did. I actually found this more challenging than I expected. I really had a hard time trying to make brush strokes that seemed realistic and also that didn't distract too much or seem awkward. I'm still not fully in love with what I have but I don't think it's terrible and my main priority is making sure we have adequate lighting.
It also didn't make much sense to me to do a lot of painting all over the environment, especially if it isn't visible or will hardly be seen but I can address that if need be.

I figured out that the post process is what was getting rid of the bounce light.
Before and after with post process on and off
post process on / camera inside of sky light

Post process on / camera outside of sky light

We filmed our green screen footage today at a place called High Output.
Here is the Lookdev lighting reference from our project that we used to set up our lighting.

This is our lighting setup from the greenscreen shoot. Sadly, we were without a chrome ball but we did have a Styrofoam ball for our gray ball which was more crucial.
